Great to here from Tommy again on this subject. Just hearing the stories from these guys and listening to recording of Buddy's interviews and a few behind the scene's clips has given me a much more clear picture of the man that was Buddy Holly. Seems like he was a really good natured, polite, and all-round great guy to be around. It's a shame that he has been portrayed so inaccurately in movies designed to be entertaining, rather than truthful.

This man must have mixed feelings when he talks about the coin toss. He's glad to be alive, but on the other hand, there must be guilt and sadness. Also, some frustration from the inaccuraty of the toss in the movie La Bamba. And maybe sometimes, he must get tired of telling the same story. This is not something that easy to deal with.He must be a very strong, balanced man. All I know about him is that he's a great guitarist. Long live Tommy Allsup!

yes the is loads of mistakes in the buddy holly story - gary busey tommy allsup is correct the paul mc cartney is the correct documentary the buddy holly story is altered for all the wrong reasons such a shame i do hope there is a re-creation of the movie with facts as apose to misleading added extras the film dont need to be like this in order to get a good rating in the film industry.
