In 1962, my grandparents owned a bar in Philadelphia, PA called Ye Ole Beef and Ale. This 8mm film was shot on location for St. Patrick's Day and my Grandmother Gert's 44th birthday. A local company called Got Memories digitized and copied the reel to DVD using a frame by frame technique rather than projection. This results in a much higher quality output ever seen by traditional projection methods.
I edited the result simply using Microsoft Movie Maker, clipping out unwanted footage, slowing down some frames to highlight them, and adding a soundtrack.
