@KatKaleen I have contacts. Unlike what most people say, contacts don't hurt at all unless there's something wrong with your eye, one of the contact lenses, or if you do something wrong while you're putting them in.
I have to agree with Richard. I don't care how well they numb the pain during the laser eye surgery, I just couldn't comfortably sit there while my eye doctor sticks a laser in my eye!! T-T
If you have bad vision, just stick to glasses or contacts.
They're a lot better.

do you live in japan?? and it must take ages to put up the decorations only to be taken down on christmas day!!
