@11Bulletstopper Hey there - not getting involved in this argument with you and HazeGrey (looks like it ended 7 months ago anyway) - just wanted to correct your facts on one thing. Smokejumpers actually came first, in 1939 in Missoula MT - they actually taught Paratroopers to jump. Just sayin'.

my friends gf is a smokejumper

if anyone could answer some of my questions about smokejumpers please respond!!!or message me

@11Bulletstopper Stop changing the subject. We're talking about Smokejumping vs Airborne jumps. In an infantry role, it becomes a whole different topic. All I'm implying is that the types of jumps Smokejumpers encounter have the potential to be far more dangerous than jumps Paratroopers make. Stop ranting like a child and learn some proper grammar and spelling.

@HazeGreyAndUnderway Its a sleeping giant, its for we invade a country, NOBODY has the capabilties of us. We also fight hard as hell and any enemie we fight they are scared of shitless of men who wear maroon berets...we are not striclty limited to combat if we don't jump numb nuts.... smokejumping is more dangerous? You are fucking delusional, How smoke jumpers have died since 2001? this last summer my Bn alone lost 51 Troopers in a river valley you never heard of... I'm done with you.

@11Bulletstopper When is the last time an Airborne Division has made a combat jump? How often do Airborne divisions make combat jumps? Exactly. Smokejumpers work fires every season. I'm not dissing Airborne units or anything, I'm just pointing out your ignorance.

@11Bulletstopper And either way, using a helicopter to get there in the first place even if you dont land it is still not as economical as flying over and jumping in. But when helicopters are needed, an LZ would still need to be cut by Smokejumpers or Hotshots. You said yourself you dont know anything about fighting fires; I think you just ended your own argument.

@11Bulletstopper This has nothing to do with me, it has to do with what you're saying about Smokejumpers. Being a Smokejumper has the potential to be FAR more dangerous than a Paratrooper, this you obviously just cannot understand. The gear needed and used to fight wildfires and the scenarios encountered are surprisingly dangerous, i.e. dynamite, kerosene, falling trees, incredibly odd and rough landings, not to mention fast moving fire, of which there can be no escape.

@HazeGreyAndUnderway Who said you had to land it? ....NROTC....lol fucking cherry.
