  • Jeanette Loff died in 1941, due to an ammonia gas leak from her refigerator.

Note the Floor to Ceiling Candelabra in the Backgound. Not a Prop. Authentic Capo de Monte from Italy. I saw a production still of the Bridal veil shot at the end. the Stiars were painted w/Shiny Aluminum paint for reflection of the Kleig Lights to help with the slowness of hte Two-Color technicolor ASA. Carl Laemmle's daughter Beth is in this sequence as she is in the Melting Pot Sequence, as the Italian Dancer

  • Thanks for the great information. I did not know these facts.

  • My 2nd favortie # from the movie, maybe if it ever makes it to DVD the color can be restored better.

  • I think this is as good as the color can get. Youtube distorts it a bit.

  • My favorite part is 6:41-7:22
