Have you see the fan film "Devious?" It was set between "The War Games" and "Spearhead from Space." They did a partial regeneration from an image of Troughton to an actor named Tony Garner, who later completed the regeneration into Jon Pertwee in his last appearance as the Third Doctor-- recreating his first appearance as the Third Doctor!

@rojblake82 The way I heard it, he didn't want to do more than three years. He even advised Peter Davison not to go more than three years in the part, and indeed that's been the average for Doctors Who actors.

i will always prefer devious.

I think it was a bloody shame that we could not have a proper regeneration, scene in the final episode of the War Games to actually see Patrick Troughton change into Jon Pertwee would have been nice. It is a shame that things happened the way they did, but never mind we can't have everything in this life I suppose. I have heard in more recent years Patrick Troughton did not really want to leave the role, of the Doctor but was under pressure to leave I think Patrick could have go on as the doctor

I don't see why they couldn't have just edited this together.

@davidrollercoaster Yep I agree lol
Why the fuck when he regenerates we hear the TARDIS's sound??

@scaredl he was being exiled by the time lords and they used his tardis to take him to the earth so the tardis traveled to earth while the doctor was regenerating, hence the tardis's sound
