From Chicago: best-selling authors John Grisham and Scott Turow discuss the death penalty and why they say flaws in the legal system mean society should eliminate executions as a form of punishment. Their discussion is moderated by Pulitzer Prize-winning editorialist Cornelia Grumann of the Chicago Tribune.

M. Veronica Brutosky Edward Philip Contreras continues to claim his innocence, incarcerated for life without parole in So. Ca. for 14 years. I have been looking for 2 1/2 years for a pro bono law firm for him. DNA figures in his case but not the way Barrry Scheck sees it,so he and no group that works only for DNA agrees to help Contreras.
Call me, Mary Brutosky see Fresno phone book available after Aug. 3, 2009. Can you
put yourself in Contreras' shoes? He committed no crime. Help us!

Martin Niemoeller,a Dachau concentration camp survivor, wrote these haunting words after his release: "I didn't speak up!
In Germany, the Nazis? came? for the Jews, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew. Then they came for the trade unionists, and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist. Then they came for the Catholics, and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant. Then, they came for me? and by that time there was no one left to speak for me
