Great Job!!! Hey can you do the bass to "Thinking of You" by Sister Sledge? The bass in that song (by Bernard Edwards) is pretty challenging.

hey man...take a look:

Wow, have never heard this song! Agree that Louis' fingerstyle bass playing is is very underrated--he also did some great work on the "Off the Wall" album, i.e. Rock with You that was played fingerstyle. Thanks for posting!

@loondoo Hey there, thank you so much for watching my clips and for commenting on some. And thanx for your friendship as well. Yes Louis is underrated as a finger style player so that's why I wanted to show some of his licks as well.
'Off the Wall' is a great album. But it's not Louis playing on 'Rock with You'. The player on that song was Bobby Watson. Nonetheless is a fabulous song.
Peace

I play on a Fender Aerodyne Jazz bass. What kind of strings do you suggest I use to get that fat sound, flats or rounds?
PMann9321 1 year ago
@PMann9321 Hi, I always use rounds to get that grinding sound with a lot of sustain. Peace.

Always, rounds... I need that 'grinding' sound.
