We are so fortunate to have people like this, like Bernie sanders, Barbara Boxer, Barney Frank, Whitehouse and there are others...but there are not enough of them...we need our legislators to have his passion!! If we had people working together for the good of the country with Obama at the help we could really be accomplishing so much more; so far this debt ceiling crisis created by the repubs and tea party...has slowed job & economic growth even more....it needs to stop!!

@Blackrain4xmas calling for a Constitutional Amendment just to raise the debt ceiling is something new and as far as giving away money, I could have sworn that the republicans ran both houses from around 1995 to 2006 when trillions of debt was run up, and btw the TARP bailout was started by Dubya...

Calling for a Constitutional Amendment is not something new. Tea Party called for it for years.  All the stuff about medicare is a distraction since it goes away w Obamacare. Fact is Democrats know 3 things: how to tax, how to borrow, and how to give away money. They gave it away to banks, insurance companies, automakers, unions, state govts, and local govts...gave the American people's money to everyone except the American people/voter/consumer in a consumer spending based economy.
