091909 Weekly Address -- Hope for Meaningful Financial Reform

Can the United States restore that environment where those that truly add value to the community, the country and the world are rewarded in a fair way? And create an environment where those who are destructive to the value equation do not get rewarded for their activities?

Are we doomed to a reality where those on Wall St and elsewhere in the financial apparatus rake in windfall profits for doing little more than destroying the productive capacity of the nation's economy by, among other things, screwing over those who are ethical, reliable and hardworking?
