Close all windows then open the "befsx41_Tftp" program we downloaded.

Input the following information:
Write Server: 192.168.1.1

Now if WLAN light is ON ,then you can finally breathe and you didn't brick your router AKA you are successful.

  • if that was true the details that are there (not just a waste of the "see more" option) wouldn't have the EXACT instructions that you view on the screen that you seem to not be able to read. Or understand.

  • the WRT54GS only came stock with 1.0 firmware, I've created this guide after ive installed with most recent and oldest, worked on both.

  • This just looks like so much work! I really don't get how to do this

  • where do you get the "befsx41_Tftp" from?

  • seems to be pretty readable on my pc after I click "view full screen" , a touch blurry, but readable none the less

  • does this work with wrt54gs version 5 router?

  • First off, Why do you mention this being a 100% safe process in the beginning, and then wrap it up by telling us we can breathe easy 'cause we didn't brick our router? Second,

I've messed up my setup..During the second step, where you flash your router, it updated, and then when I clicked continue for the reboot I instantly lost connection..Either way, I pressed on and opened the befsx41 program, entered the info, tried updating and failed. i assume it needs internet to update.care to elaborate?

  • dude you still freakin rock

  • i cant see ! 2 small res

  • Might be nice if you could see the screens good enough to read them or if there was some audio saying what was going on.

Right now it's just a waste of time and space
