Well look at it this way, it was Lyotos worst day, and one of Shoguns best, and Shogun still couldent really do crap to him... Lyoto has owned enough of the best and enough champions to be called one of the best. It was pretty close, and from what I saw, all Shogun got in was some BS leg kicks... It could have gone either way for the decision, Shogun fans need to stop whinning about it... It could have gone either way, Shogun had a good fight and was the closest ever to beating Lyoto, hes good

I have seen Lyoto apply text book Karate into the MMA fight, I always wonderd... Where is the Karate guys in MMA??? For a while people didnt even take Karate seriously cause dumb US schools and stuff. Im so glad a guy that actually knows Karate come to UFC lol I can also reconize some of his fighting from sumo in the Tito fight, he streight up clinch, SUMO PUSH!!!! All the way across the octogon into the cage lol

@shoulung Machida was still doing good outside his comfert zone... amazing fight, nobody else can switch there style up like that and actually be winning the fight against somebody like shogun. Machidas a damn beast, and just think if shogun missed that big punch.... machida poped his knee out of place with that second takedown, so shogun would have been the one limping if he didnt land that nice punch. Crazy how things turn out though.

na... he only changed during that shogun REMATCH. I never seen machida fight up close like that....THAT WAS WAY OUT OF HIS COMFERT ZONE, thats why he lost. I wanna see a 3rd fight, machida and shogun are BOMB ASS fighters, i dont like compairing the 2 becuase any of them can beat one another at any moment.

I have noticed that he has changed, but I don't think it was all at once, he has become more and more less defensive in each fight. I think, he realized that he was really good, and started to do more and more offensive things. I like his old Samurai technique. Wait, wait, wait, then the enemy gets pissed off and charges you not thinking clearly lol example of Samurai strategy in the Octogon. Lyoto VS Tito LOL

@GuamKomudo shogun never defeated lyoto using his real defensive style. Machida changed his whole style around for that fight to try something new out.... didnt u notice? being a machida fan, you would see the difference between styles.
