At age 29, Molly Rockamann is already helping to grow the next generation of organic farmers, and some delicious produce to boot. After spending time in the farmlands of Fiji, Thailand and Ghana, Molly returned to St. Louis and in 2008 founded EarthDance Farms, an organization dedicated to promoting the best of all things local, including food, farming, art and community. With a unique part-time apprenticeship program, Molly helps urban St. Louis residents learn the ins and outs of organic farming, from seeding to harvesting to selling at farmer's markets. Molly is empowering a vibrant community of new farmers, earning her this year's NRDC Young Food Leader award.
