The Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport, Maine is the oldest trolley museum in the country founded in 1939. By the end of 1941 it had four cars on its site.
The Connecticut Trolley Museum was the first trolley museum to incorporate in 1940 and acquired its first car (No. 65) from Hartford, Conn. in 1941.
