when i lived in seacroft in the 1960 / 1970s it was a great place to be i went to parklands school then to the little annex then to foxwood we had lots of fun when i was growing up long summer holidays and chumping for the bonfire yes they were good days then when i got older i went in the wilsons arms great pub and great people great beer

Had some great laffs living in Seacroft, in the early '90s, the shopping centre was a great place to visit, the shops sold stuff really cheap, and there were two cafes, the Derisford and Bites, the folk were down to earth and real friendly.

@fspeag i lived there for 3 years, there are some nice folk & nice pockets of seacroft but i found most of the people horrible, aggressive, thick & rude, low on social skills, low on manners, anti-social, hoards of fat single parent mothers with mouths like sewers!...ghastly!! we must have the worst housing estates in western europe! the british class system stinks, its not fair on the decent folk who cant afford a house coz it usually means being lumped next door to a bunch of morons

I used to love coming from Scholes/Barwick in Elmet past Seacroft at this time of year, with that big, luminous twilight sky over Leeds. Not much fun for those living there, I suppose, but there was a certain darkly poetic atmosphere in the air...

People in Seacroft are known both as thieving scum and racists in other parts of Leeds, and for good reason. I feel sorry for the decent people in Seacroft, but there aren't many. There's no use complaining about how nothing is done for the people of Seacroft because the kids around there have been bussed out to Boston Spa and Wetherby High schools for around fifteen years now. The result? Both schools are dying as the most virulent strain of chavs you will find in Britain has taken over.
