The Exotic Shorthair is the short-haired version of the Persian cat and was created in the 60's by crossing Persians with American Shorthairs. The result is the same round eyes, head, small rounded ears, cobby body shape, thick, short limbs and tail as the Persian along with the same sweet disposition. But instead of a long silky coat the Exotic has a VERY plush, short, dense coat. They really feel like squishy teddy bears!
