First I want to thank Visceral Games - Redwood Shores (especially to lead Art Director Ian Milham) for making the BEST and SCARIEST GAME i have ever played. Dead Space was phenomenal, but the second just blew my mind, my head and my brain.

"Welcome Aboard the USG Ishimura" - probably u remember these words from the first moments of Dead Space. Well in Dead Space 2 we got a chance to visit our "old friend" again, but this time after three years since Dead Space's events. I made a comparision video of USG Ishimura from dead space and dead space 2 (after three years) ;-)

Every detail in this ship looks so amazing, the atmosphere, the fear, the intense, claustrophobia - nothing is gone. This also reminds me a lot of James Cameron's "Aliens".

  • man, the return to the Ishimura was without a doubt the greatest part of Dead Space 2

  • @Anydinosaurr No doubt :)

  • I think seeing somone with a suit like issac walking down dark halls would seem pretty freaky. also, what aobut the ppl who had to patch everything up? had to be freaky for them too.

  • @BustedKeyboard If u played Dead Space 2, in some parts of Ishimura u could find audio logs of those "cleaners" ;D Those logs were freaking scary xD

sorry for my bad english ;-)

  • the ishimura in ds2 was definently the scariest part...... and the worst part was when your going to the bridge and ellie says good thing your not going in the medical deck necros are flooding in there and then it says "unknown obstacle in the way, stopping at medical deck" i was just like "................youve got to be fucking kidding."

  • Ishimura...

  • WHAT'S THAT, LASSIE!

Isaac's stuck in the Ishimura again?

  • @BananaBean03 hahahah win

  • I have played through DS1 and 2 alot of times. And everytime i go to the ISHIMURA in DS2 It brings this very depressed but scary feeling.

In Dead space 1 its the main location. throughout the whole game. most lights in the ship are on. It feels very active.

In Dead Space 2 its only used for one chapter but its very empty and silent :'(. No lights all darkness.

Definiatly the best part about DS2 :D.

  • @puoduh lol in the bathroom him and the walls im like no duh look at engineering and hydroponics and the corruption

  • @puoduh your english was fine no worry as long as its understanable :) Into the topic, ishimura was as scary as hell when it had already sent to the city to fix (im kindda forgotten about the city name or something) when you happen to enter it again whereby you can see the wall was covered up by a new layer and etc...Thats the most horrific and intense part when you have to go through it again to seek for something zzz...

  • reminds me of my childhood

  • @ventor11225 Indeed, at Dead Space 1, I always was scared. The atmospehere of Dead Space 1 was just...Insane, Dead Space 2 wasn't THAT scary as Dead Space 1...Or maybe it was because I alredy became Dead Space veteran and just kind of knew what I'm fighting against but the Ishimura...Just freaked the shit out of me, when you walk alone the dark corridors and Nicole is whispering in your ear, shit like "All the tape on the ground...We both know how many bodies and blood are burried under them..."
