My opinion is, it's about children losing their innocence and becoming gangsters. It's a list of traditional kids' games (kick the can, skipping, ring o' rosies) and childhood-related ideas (bogeyman, candyland), juxtaposed with other activities: stealing cars, blackjack (dunno if they mean the card game or the weapon) and stealing another kid's shoes.

Kinda strange choice for the first single. Won't be this track too complicated for nowadays charts, although sounds really impressive? I hope from the Sawdust they're intending to release Where The White Boys Dance, Ballad Of Michael Valentine or Daddy's Eyes. Love those tracks, they are just brilliant and (in my opinion) among the best 10 songs of The Killers. BTW, darksome video, I like it:-)

i don't think they're going to do singles from sawdust to tell the truth.
just this song, and i believe they're doing a video for shadowplay and then a christmas song in december and that's it. onto the next album.
