Head and eyes up, counterbalance, and practice, in that order. The trailer does not make that much of a difference so long as you are not stopping and starting at an angle with it!

My ERC (BRCII) partner rides a GL1800 does this (without trailer, however) in the 20ft boundaries every time, vs the 24ft seen above.

When we made this video, we weren't "counting" the trailer crossing the line (it did by about an inch or two in this video).
This is challenging to do on a small bike, never mind a GoldWing... and on a GW with a trailer... well, just try it yourself sometime!
