This is my cover of the Richie Sambora solo from the Bon Jovi song 'Wanted Dead Or Alive' off the Slippery When Wet album.

This cover is based around the live version that Richie plays. It's pretty much the same as the album version but with a few extra pinch harmonics and other minor changes. Learnt by ear from watching live versions of the song.

Played on a Kramer Jersey Star Electric Guitar which is a reissue of the Kramer that Richie used to play in the 80's.

This was played using Line 6 Guitar Port with Gearbox software and recorded through RiffTracker recording software. Then mixed in Audacity with a Wanted Dead Or Alive backing track, then put together with the video.

It's a great solo from a great song. Enjoy!

  • KRAMER FOR life, ahh its soo bad that a legendary company bank roput at the end of the 80's by the way awsome cover!

  • Nice playing guy!

  • That is an awesome cover! I never understood why this guitar solo is not in the top ten world's best guitar solos - it is just seems to hit you right between the eyes. Not flashy, but lean and mean. IMO better than Stairway To Heaven and even Comfortably Numb!!!
