  • The reason I love your channel is because you and Hank can believe in and address topics that matter to you in such a moving way. It always makes me tear up when you talk about "us," being one with each other and all. :) Thank you.

  • I'm a "new" nerdfighter, but in the last few months I've started watching all of your videos without making a comment. It's not because the other videos haven't been amazing and funny and cute times a billion, but because I just don't comment on videos. Maybe I should start doing that?

Anyway, I had to say how awesome you guys are, how awesome what you do are, and how awesome you make me feel. Thank you

  • "You are us." A moving sentence yet a grammatical nightmare.

  • @PhatFisherman It is April 7th. That's the day after President Habyarimana's plane was shot down. The killings and roadblocks began shortly after midnight on the 7th.

  • is there a set date for the anniversary of the rwandan genocide? when is it? i heard it might be april 7th, but I'm not sure

  • Wait... dude.. you're not 26... ;)

  • I studied abroad in Rwanda in 2010 and it was incredible. I read We Wish to Inform You during that time and I would also recommend it. Our group traveled to Kibuye after our time in Kigali and while I was flipping through the book I came across a story of a girl's school in that same town that refused to separate into Hutus and Tutsis and died together. I don't think there's a word to describe that, honestly.

I also HIGHLY recommend watching Sometimes in April!

  • So cool that you lived in Amsterdam. I could've walked in to you. THERE WAS AN Amsterdam nerdfighter gathering? O well. Maybe if some time in the future there is one, I'll be there.

John I've been a fan of your books for quite some time but strangely enough I only found out about these vlogs very shortly, but, you guys are thoroughly awesome. I feel like I'm part of the nerdfighteria already. These vlogs cheer up my day. Keep on the awesomeness.

  • @jellostormcaller Read the description ;)

  • My father was in Rwanda, he still has nightmares about it

  • I love deep-voiced John.
