Greg Palaschak 's corn planted on 23 April has sprouted. This is the first corn sprouted in Kinsman, Illinois. This corn took 14 days to see the sun. That's because we suffered a cold snap. There was no damage. In 72 degree weather corn will reach the sunlight in 3 to 5 days. Germination is a heat driven event. Video by Lawyerdude.

  • We had perfect weather so far here in LaSalle County in northern Illinois. There was no flooding here. We could use a rain by the 4th of July.
