Ranma 1/2: The Abridged Chronicles Casting Call

Yes, while Ranma 1/2: The Abridged Chronicles is well underway, we seem to be at a deficit for certain voices. So, myself and ZomgRuler are holding open auditions for anyone interested.

If you think you can do the voice for any of the characters listed (and if there are any less-than-central characters who you feel you can do really well, feel free to volunteer), then contact either of us, and send us a recording of the voice that you'd use.

We look forward to seeing all submissions. Good luck to everyone!

UPDATE: Never mind, we have a new Nabiki as well

UPDATE 2: After much debate and difficult decision-making, we've chosen our Shampoo. To everyone who auditioned for her, thank you for your hard work. If you did not get the part, then please don't let that stop you from trying out for a different character.

UPDATE 3: We have our Ukyo. Thank you everyone who auditioned!

UPDATE 4: Kodachi has been cast as well. That means we have everyone from the main cast. However, you can still audition for a minor role, such as Azusa or Mariko.

Most of the larger roles are already cast, but there are always minor characters. We also haven't heard back from the person we're considering for Kodachi, so while it's a longer shot, it couldn't hurt to try.

Can i audition for girl-type ranma or is this thing over?

ZomgRuler does the voice for Girl!Ranma, so that part is taken. Actually, all the parts mentioned on the video are either filled or very close to being filled. However, if there is a character not mentioned that you might like to do, you can feel free to audition.

But I wouldn't know who they are cuz I don't watch the anime, only the manga. XD Ok then, oh well. I guess it wouldn't hurt to try, but since I have no hope of getting it, neh...

Btw-- I heard Akane's voice, I luff it~! XDD

Better write your will, then, because it's a guy doing Akane. We've often heard complaints about Akane's dub voice being too deep, so we did the exact opposite and made it unnaturally high... which ironically, still gets complaints.

Auditions are still open, although the last person to audition for Kodachi is very likely to get the part once she posts a callback video, so the safer bet is with a smaller female character who wasn't mentioned in the video.

I want to try Kodachi~! Nabiki would have been perfect for my deep girl-voice though... >_> Oh well, I'm sure whoever really is her is great~! I also have a killer Shampoo, but neh... I hope I don't suck trying out~! XD I don't know if you've already made your decision, but if the auditions are open until this Saturday, I'll definitely have one in~! ^-^ And one more thing... who's doing Akane~? If it's a guy, I'll die laughing. XD
