It is so sad, and a reflection of how messed up the U.S. has become that this young woman's simple lovely music causes hatred. The flag in the background is a symbol of pride. That's all. It isn't a KKK flag. Lot's of young southern boys fought and died for the south. They were defeated. Killed and maimed. Leave it alone... the Japanese are just trying to show their admiratioin for the U.S. I love this young woman... and I love the Japanese too.

@trisoctehedron I was born and raised here. I happened to have an immigrant mother, which allowed my to see Southern society from a bit of a distance. That puts it in perspective. I don't like what I see when I see Southern life whole.

I'm the bass player in this video and I've been in the band for a little over three years now. The flag was hung over the stage when we got to the gig and anyone who's been to Japan knows the Japanese are the kindest, most honest people you can meet. They definitely don't look at this flag from a racial perspective...they associate the flag with Southern History and Culture which has had a profound effect on not only Bluegrass and Old Time Music, but Blues, Jazz, and Country Music as well.
