Conjunctivitis (Pink Eye)

Just a few words about an eye infection called Conjunctivitis, which can result from bacteria, viruses, or even allergies. I contracted this infection recently, and was prescribed Erythromycin (Anitbiotic) to use directly on my eye. [Background music - 'Cha Cha' performed by Patrice Rushen]

I recently caught this too...it started out as a cold and thats what I thought it was but like you I looked in the mirror a few days ago and my eyes were all blood shot.So I thought it was from being sleep deprived.But I showed my mom and she said I have all the signs of conjunctives.I dont even know how I got it I wash my hands all the time and I havent been around any sick people so I am at a loss.I hope I get better soon tho it sucks when you have to wash your eyes out every five min!

@XVampirexBeautyX Germs are everywhere. Keep hand sanitizer near by and avoid having any direct contact with your eyes.

I have conjunctivitis too. I got it when I cleaned my room. the dust in the air mustve flew into my eye while i was cleaning cause soon i started to sneeze then rubbing my eyes and soon ended up with pink eye. its not fun but i have washed my hands. is there any advice you can give me to help stop it from getting worse?

I caught this recently too. It was due to a viral infection according to my doctor. This virus is apparently everywhere. So nowadays I wash my hands ALL THE TIME and try not to touch my face ever. It was a very unpleasant experience and it took me over 2 weeks to get rid of it. Really you are right - WASH YOUR HANDS!!

I got pink eye and im a germaphobe. my little sister touched the door knob on the door that leads into my room last night and i woke up this morning with pink eye. it sucks.

I hate pink eye. When I catch it at night and wake up, one of my eyes is stuck. I have to force it open with my fingers.
