Just returned from Robinson's island and spend an afternoon with Mr. Robinson, a Kuna native who shared his family story with us. It goes way back when his great grandfather left the kuna yala & hid on a ship sailing the Caribean sea. The captain found him and droped him off the nearest island which was Jamaica. A lady adopted him and named him Robinson as it was her last name. Years later (adult age) he returned to the Comarca Kuna Yala and started a family.
ROBINSON'S ISLAND? Since when did KUNA ever name it robinson? Not unless just because some white man says so...white people... always disrespecting Native identity to impose his own-on NATIVE homelands...even until today.
