This is my 1973 Jeep DJ-5C. It is a former postal mail carrier with right hand drive, 3.8L inline 6 cylinder, M-11 automatic transmissions, and 33,000 original miles. It runs and drives great!
The DJ5 was manufactured by AM General (military/government company owned by AMC at the time). 3.8L inline 6 cylinder engine, M-11 Muncie automatic transmission. Engine runs great! Transmission runs and shifts great! Newer parts include wheel bearings, tires, brakes, some wiring, rebuilt alternator, rebuilt starter, fan belt, distributor cap, plugs, fuel filter, carb tuning, and wires. This Jeep runs great and drives perfect. There is nothing wrong at all. The clear coat is starting to peel on the roof. The original seat and tray were replaced with a better and matching pair of seats. The doors slide and work great. The rear cargo area has a surprising amount of room. This is the same chassis and engine as the Jeep CJ-5. Right hand drive, no power steering or power brakes, but it steers and brakes very good. It is really fun to drive. The front end parts are tight. It has collector plates and 33,000 original miles!!!!!!

Wish you were closer to Maine. I used to have a '73 DJ5C and miss it. It was my first jeep. Good luck.
