Umm Stevieg what's ScreenScene?

"ScreenScene" was a programme on The Local Channel, it was a 30 minute programme that would be shown ad naseum for a week, it was all very low budget. Every area had their own, we got the Manchester version. The channel used to be called Nynex Community Television (NCTV) before they renamed it The Local Channel, it survived the Digital transition, before NTL replaced it with The Community Channel.

How come channel handovers were that shaky on cable and quite smooth on satellite?

I would have thought it'd be the same on both platforms. Main reason here I would have guessed is that CNBC is being fed from somewhere different than where Bravo was coming from. It's like Eurosport, they broadcast from TF1 in Paris, yet their Teleshopping was broadcast from London, hence their jittery handover.
