A movie with Humphrey Bogart and Lauren Bacall from 1947, directed by Delmer Davis. Not their best movie, but still entertaining. In colour :)

  • Yes, it is the old TNT!!! :)

  • sorry but color makes it not film noir, black and white for a reason...jay

  • In the 80s Ted Turner colorized many old movies hoping that they would get more viewership. For the most part they did, but the films look terrible and are a pollution to their natural form and go against the original intentions of the director.

I guess they still sometimes show on TCM. A few colorized films (I have IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE) still exist on video.

  • My fave Bogie and Bacall movie

  • I have a deep voice like Lauren's and her deep voice is actually what she's known for! Makes me feel better!

  • I love the black and white version don't get me wrong. But it's really interesting to see them in colour too.

  • @DonBeppo amen to that

  • I have the "colorized" version of Dark Passage, it is great.

Some people complain about colorized movies, what they don't realise is that the young people refuse to watch b/w movies, so that in time these movies will be lost forever

  • @DonBeppo Yeah, cos the shadow of that pot plant on those venetian blinds in the background looks *great* in this colourised version!

  • I always get a kick out of so-called movie experts who think B&W movies were some sort of art form back then. If quality color film and processing methods had existed at the time, you can bet these "artists" would have made them in color. Get over yourselves, people. The only reason the "look better" in B&W today is because that's how we all first saw them.

  • This is so wrong!

  • how can you show a fim noir in colour ?!

  • agreed. it's not a film noir if colorized.
