I made this video in memory of my Grandfather. I hope it can help raise awareness of this horrible disease to those who have not experienced it in their family.

  • What a beautiful, touching video, your grandfather will be so proud of you wherever he is now. I almost cried because so many pictures reminded me of our own family life. My dad had the first symptoms about six years ago and it took the doctors almost four years to find out what he actually has. Fortunately his ALS seems to progress slowly, but seeing what we have already lost and what will happen sooner or later almost breaks my heart. My heart goes out to you,may your granddad rest in peace.

  • My grandmother died from this so watching this make me want to find a cure but also makes me in tears

  • WOW I CAN HARDLY SEE THE SCREEN RIGHT NOW......I LOST MY DAD ON DEC28 2002 AND THIS STORY IS SO SIMILAR. I BET MY DAD AND HIM ARE HANGING OUT ABOVE RIGHT NOW.

  • What an amazing family!

  • Thank you for sharing a story of such a lovely man. I am so sorry for your loss. I watched it as they do not yet have a diagnosis for me. Your video was very helpful.

  • I am sorry for your loss. I have also lost my Grandmother to ALS. I started finding dimes all over the place, every where I looked there was a dime ,so I told myself that my Grandma was leaving them for me so that I would know She is still with me.So for 3 yrs I have not spent not 1 dime my friends even bring me their dimes and say Hey your Grandma left these for you...Well I was woundering if you know who to contact to give a Donation to ALS.Thank you for sharing you Grandfather..Angie

  • @LucaBlightBadass They have seen my Niece for follow up for about 5 to 7 years now and their just stumped..they have no answers its a complicated diease I hope they get a cure for it someday soon.

  • @searay3400 Wow they should investigate why that happens, maybe it could help in finding a cure!

  • No it was not a wrong Diagnosis they have tests documented that showed nerve death it was verified, and UM stated they do not go around handing out the diagnosis of ALS lightly, especally to somebody 27 years old. If you read in the literature some ALS Patients very very few do have a regression. I am not a DR but "they" said it was not a misdiagnosis. I know 3 people who have died from the diease it is a horriable diease.
