Much respect bro! I started freshman year (Junior now) and jumped 4'10 :P Now I'm jumping 5'10 and just need to get my feet up quicker for 6. Best of luck to you!

hey man nice work, im a senior and im right behind you haha. i saw a vid of your workouts, and theres a couple extra workouts that i know that can possibly help you, but overall man your form looks really good, and at some clips, if you hold your arch a split second more, you'll be getting 6'2, 6'4 easy
Hey, I started high jumping this year (I'm only in 7th grade), and I was wondering if you could give me any tips on how to jump better (besides the basic j-approach, pivot, and drive). I usually run in the morning for distance, and we run about 3 miles. Are there any other good workouts where I could try to make my vertical better? Anyway, thanks :)! It would help alot! :)

what i did, was i searched youtube, and combined several workouts and used the ones that worked for me. i recommend finding videos by 'stretchexpert' and 'destorm', who have some great workouts that you can do at practically no cost to increase your vertical. i saw quick results, but they're not by any means major.

during the summer i lifted like a mad man, still do in fact. squats, deadlifts, some upper body stuff, and i run five days a week. during winter i ran sprint/distance workouts with the team, and after some days id do 10 minutes on bleachers, atleast twice a week - i avoided lifting during season at all costs to stay fresh. then during spring i jumped a lot and ran workouts with the team. overall, the lifting and the bleachers had the best impact on increasing my vertical.
