  • Like every other expertvillage how to video: "Let me introduce the thing I'm supposed to be talking about with something else. In order to show you how to play the instrument as the title suggests, I'm going to say some random facts about how this thing was made and play the instrument poorly for a few seconds." I may now go forth into the world with my new skills.

  • where's the thumb for "hate"?

  • Expert Village is the wrong name for this organization.

  • That was desperate. There's much better stuff here on Youtube than this (or at the risk of sounding egotistical there's my web site, the Concertina FAQ - just search on Google for concertina, it's one of the top three or four hits). This clip is wrong in so many ways ...

  • Sorry, but the Anglo concertina, as you are playing, was never a classical instrument. It was always a folk instrument. I believe you are referring to the English concertina, which was originally a parlor instrument, and quite refined. Regondi, for example, was a well-known classical musician who composed many of his pieces for the English concertina.

  • @minoune86 I am reminded of the Monty Python "How to Do It" sketch which explains how to play the flute: "You blow there, and you move your fingers up and down here."

  • confused a concertina is nothing like an accordian

  • @ConcertinaImpossivel no, an accordion and a concertina are two different instruments..
