"Desire" - Julie Neumark

in the early 2000's Julie Neumark and I had a band together and we thought we were writing pop gems. By the time this was recorded it became her solo EP release and we still thought we wrote cool songs. This is one of those co-writes. I barely made it through the recording process cause I was fighting with her so much with my typical boy stupidity. Now we're friends but she'll probably hate me for posting this.

Most of the guitars were done with my white Gibson Les Paul Custom through my Laney VC-30 amp with an Ibanez Tube Screamer. I believe the little end verse hook effect is an Electro Harmonix Q-Tron filter with the some other digital after effect put on.

This was actually the first recording session I ever did that was with Digital Recording Software. Everything prior was on to tape or hard disk but with just mixing boards and pre-amps.
