This looks too complicated. Isn't part of the point of having in-boom system is to be able to do everything from the helm ?

this unit is designed to be used from the mast or cockpit, I have not yet run the control lines to the cockpit, but I will in the future. even with the controls at the mast, it is much easier to handle than jiffy reefing and lazyjacks. the boom on the boat is too high to reach and the furlboom made it possible to use the mainsail safely.
after using this for a couple of years now, I couldn't imagine sailing MY boat without it.
