An Atheist is just someone who doesn't believe in God or Gods. They can come in many flavors. Humanists are non-theists which have a specific positive philosophy. While most Humanists are atheists, not all atheists are Humanists. Do some searching on Google and Wikipedia for more....or check out some books on humanism from the library.
