Master Su covers two variations to the basic Consistent Method that flows from Opening Movement (see my other earlier videos for the development of this movement). Here he shows an alternative for when you can't reach with your own leg beyond the opponent's far foot. Another alternative is demonstrated, which arises when the opponent's back arm is farther to the side, perhaps because he anticipates your approach on the open side.

The video ends with a throw which is illustrative of EOE's approach to throws as I understand it: true combat "throws" are really unexpected drops, typically hard for the opponent to anticipate and often impossible to "break." Practicing them to completion is impossible - unsafe - without a foam pit or soft padding.

This seminar filmed in 2000 at the Herndon/Sterling branch of White Birch K'ung-fu. Thank you Si Fu Sean Kans for your hospitality.

More clips to come, including footage from the October 2010 seminars in Miami, where Master Su was hosted generously by Natural Motion Systems.
