Fire caused by "lightening strike" (unconfirmed) began near Cabrera on the 14th, wiping out 10.000 acres (4.000 hectres) of the Coritjo Grande mountain ranges, and surrounding areas. Burning a few villas and the restaurante "Listoneros". 9 Days later a fire re-lit the other side of Cabrera at 3.45pm. Moving down the mountain valleys destroying all bushland in it's path. Working it's way down to Turre and across to Mojacar Pueblo. After evacuating the pueblo and playa, the fire continued to spread wiping out 6.000 hectres of land with over 80khm winds and is now currently heading towards the Carboneras direction. Fireman were stretched to absolute limits as many other fires across spain and Europe continue to burn. The fire continues to hit international news as temperatures soar.

E-mail me with any good photo's for the final make.

Please know that none of these pictures were taken by me. I respect all copyright owners and do not claim to have taken any of these photos.

I've only compiled the best footage I could find to make a rememberence to all that suffered and lost their houses.

Photo's are from various people and news websites.

Ningunos de los fotos son mias, son todo de varios personas y publicidades de noticia. Yo solo puesto todos los mejores en un video para que recuerda la gente afectado y sus familiares.

  • Good job Ryan. I will be sending link to many friends.

We spent that night on the roof to keep an eye on the flames. We were extremely thankful they got no closer than the mountain top above us, but know others that have lost almost all they had. Our thoughts go to all in that situation. Thank god no loss of life.

Immense huge thank-yous to all involved in the firefighting.
