The Dead Sea Scrolls are some of the most powerful archaeological evidence for the Book of Mormon.

  • GOOD!!!

  • And I'll bet if we were to go to Japan and did a little looking around we could find the remnants of a culture that has existed for thousands of years. Only if someone was trying to pull a ruse and tell us that the Xenubians actually lived on the Japanese islands, and that at one time they fought the Kolobulums in a massive war, which killed off both tribes, would we know that something was amiss. No one would believe them. Yet, that all changes when we talk of Nephites and Lamanites. Why?

  • crap !

  • I don't like the attitude of this video. It sounds like you're mad at people for not believing in the gospel. Religion is based upon faith. Those who are ready will have their hearts softened. They will seek and be nourished. Forgive them there faithlessness brother as the Lord forgives you :). Don't waste your time debating, debating is a fancy word for fighting btw. And have joy in that Christ who loves you. The spirit converts.

  • Through her actions, not her words, I learned the importance of the temple. I am certain it is thanks to her example that the temple is now a part of my life. Having a temple near where I live is a priceless blessing. When I think of a temple being built in Sapporo, my heart burns within me."

  • Sister Rie Naito lives in Tokyo now but once lived in Hokkaido's Asahikawa Japan Stake. She said, "When I was a new member of the Church, my visiting teaching companion paid expensive airplane fares once every two months so she could travel from Asahikawa to Tokyo and attend the temple.

  • please tell me about about the difficulty in finding archeological evidence in the jungles of mesoamerica?

and yet we have found so much!

    FAIL! on your part!

  • You think this is shooting the bull because you have no clue about the background. Critics make the dubious claim that the Book of Mormon is false because it refers to Christ being born in the land of Jerusalem. They claim Joseph Smith was really stupid to not know where Christ was born and that Jerusalem was a city. This video focuses on one thing only--refuting that argument. The Dead Sea Scrolls refer to the land of Jerusalem. Joseph's "error" is in fact evidence of veracity. Ironic, no?

  • luv4surf wrote to me and said, "you were not listening to what he was saying. if you did you would not be responding the way you did. your mind is already made up and closed or closed minded."

Let me just say that I was listening just fine and heard the usual bait-n-switch nonsense that I've become accustomed to when discussing this subject. If Kerry Shirt & Co. really wanted to make their case, then all they would have to do is come up with something real and tangible. But as usual, nothing.

  • Next, we did missionary work, home teaching and visiting teaching with the goal of a stake in Hokkaido and sent our children on missions. We are now blessed to have three stakes in Hokkaido, and temples have been built in Tokyo and Fukuoka. Japan is a truly blessed land.
