Tony wonders why people are so easy on Steve Nash never winning a title, when they were so hard on LeBron.

It wasn't about being the best player. It was about being the most valuable proponent to your team. In that sense, Nash won the MVP, but if you ask me, Shaq should've gotten it.

No one cared that Lebron didn't win anything in Cleveland. I think it's a combination of what they all said here, race, he probably wasn't the best in the league twice, and he is pecevied as a better person.

This is funny because conservatives talk about experience and then when blacks speak they scream "race card." Listen to what people have to say before jumping to conclusions. You always scream about "evidence" of racism but run with the flimsiest of "evidence" when calling someone an elitist bleeding heart (are conservatives heartless assholes?) liberal. Point me to the evidence he's liberal No. 1 (cause he criticized a white person?) and No. 2 why it fucking matters. Hint: it doesn't.

Because he speaks from a position of privilege, not experience. Do I think racism still exists? Sure. Do I think that racism exists in a league where these point guards, black or white, are making tens of millions of dollars? Perhaps. But answer this one: Does it even matter at that point? He's making pseudo-intellectual comments to make himself seem like some sort of elite thinker, not because there is any identifiable evidence that the NBA venerates nash because he is white.

It isn't all about race. A perfect guy to look at is Kevin Garnett who took the Timberwolves with Cassell, Spreewell, and a bunch of scrubs to the playoffs, was very out spoken, nicked named The Big Ticket, and when he left Minnesota to go to Boston, there was no real hatred and not a lot of backlash. Why? Because KG didn't make a show out of coming to his new team. LeBron is only guilty of making a few bad decisions from a PR stand point and rubbing people the wrong way.

Why? Because he's white and thinks racism exists? Not everybody wants to be an insufferable, ignorant, backwater conservative.

of course race has a little something to do with it. wasnt it nash who said something like he was old school and playing for the lakers would be hard?
then all of a sudden he signs with the lakers? if it was lebron and he said the same shit he would be given tons of shit for it.
ray allen just signed with the heat. love they way laker fans are hating on him too when nash did the same thing. hilarious.
