She was a great singer and this is one of the best renditions of this aria I've ever heard.

I LOVE this Woman : she's always GREAT - she can sing Verdi - Rossini - Massenet - Strauss ....... and it is always an achievement ! Congratulation Madame Fassbaender , I only am disappointed I've never met you personally but I attended many Performances of yours and you've been always great , you were NEVER on a bad shape - today is very difficult to get such an Artist !!

Although it's sung in German it's the best rendition of this aria I've ever heard.
There's a CD with some arias from Don Carlos. The cast includes Nicolai Gedda (Don Carlos), Dietrich Fischer-Diskau (Rodrigo), Edda Moser (Elisabetta), Brigitte Fassbaender (Eboli), Kurt Moll (Philippo II)
