  • I made this video just as a school project a couple years ago. It was difficult to get in contact with female fire firefighters in the area that were willing to talk. I had no idea it would create such a debate!

  • @prschuster agreed there should be a test that pushes applicants to limits of their physical abilities and there should be a standard, if a woman or man is unable to pass the test then they fail. in another video, a game show, a woman had to bust down a door and even though she was a firefighter she failed. thats wrong. this should not happen. a man with no firefighting training easily completed the task. i will not endanger lives for "equality" thats just stupid.

  • @CpsLock3 The solution to issues of gender is to have the same standards for everyone, male or female, making them realistic for the job. It's as simple as that. Leave gender out of the equation and let the chips fall where they may. If a particular woman can meet those standards, fine... if not, too bad.

  • dancebabe75-like the fact that you did this as a school project-but the next time you interview the female firefighters, just make sure (maybe by asking there coworkers) that they are worthy of the term "firefighter"

  • @loonyhairchickd6969 Totally agree, if a female Firefighter applicant passes the same test as males they deserve the job just as much as anyone. Unfortunately there are cities that are lowering standards in order to meet a quota, it's happening in my city right now and the people that are the most angry are our current female firefighters that passed the physical back before all the changes.

  • alot of u guys are sooo damn sexiest i am a female firefighter and i do the same things just as the males does we get no special treatment we gotta do the same training no different besides the fact that we are females. it sucks that you guys cant accept the fact that a female can be strong enuff to do the job if a female can give birth there aint a damn thing we cant do

  • number one..shes a total fraud, and couldnt find her way out of a burning building if she had to..

number two..she enjoys the whole jealous wife thing-she loves using other peoples lifes for her own enjoyment

she needs to go back to acting where she belongs--because the pretending to be a firefighter isnt working for her

  • Leave it to the Men

  • @JoeSoap68 Ms. Ivey also has a fatal cardiac problem not just color blind. she cant rise a 28 ft extension ladder without fallin out with chest pains.

  • Fucking joke women in the fire service!!!!

  • @pomppa85

First of all, WHAT fat, unfit firemen are you talking about?!

    Second:

"you allow fat, unfit pieces of shit male firefighters to do the job?"

Really?! You're talking about FIREMEN, you sexist, misandric dipshit!

Unqualified women have no business doing jobs like these. Could these women move a 200 pound man? Doubt it. Would they ever have to so long as men are around?-Also doubtful. Yet despite the unequal risks, do they get paid the same as men? Almost certainly.

  • @prschuster It's the same way in colleges across America. Minorities have lower test standards as well... but asians and Jews don't count for some reason. Weird huh?

  • @thehotshirtguy2008 In all fairness, if there are different standards based on gender, then there should be different job descriptions as well. If I, as a male, tried out for the fire dept and couldn't make the grade physically, while women could pass the test with a lower score than me, I'd feel discriminated against. I mean female MDs and lawyers have to pass the same licensing exams. Firefighting should be no different.
