Scientists have long puzzled over the different fates of identical twins: both have the same genes, yet only one may develop a serious disease like cancer or autism. What's going on? Does some biological force beyond genes determine who we are? On October 16, NOVA's "Ghost In Your Genes" traces the clues that have led scientists to a new picture of genetic control and expression called epigenetics. Catch the preview here first.

  • Well Christ, that's pretty disgusting how your cousin Bridget rubs her spit all over the monitor screen!

This may be a rude question, but could you share any weird stories or anecdotes about her?

  • you didn't see the whole program did you?

  • Wish they would play this again. Environment plays a much greater role on impacting our genes than anyone would've guessed, nature vs. nurture isn't a correct statement anymore

  • This is important for EVERYONE!! It's too late for those of us with children, but our children need to know this so they aren't impacting their childrens children. This is HUGE.

  • This is very important for new Parents.. a must see!!!

  • Thats my aunt whose talking about Bridget and Jenna

  • Because nothing is due to environmental factors, right? Lol. This seems interesting, though.

  • That looks creepy
