Is it common practice for fishermen to catch and hold fish that may win weeks before the event. I know some former winners who do that all the time, They catch fish and put them in a tank weeks before and most of them die and go to waste, I also know that our local game ranger caught some of them here a week before the tourney tresspassing with two nice fish. He carved an x on the fish heads so they could not enter them.

so who won the big string? Do the fish have to be caught in the same day?

@oogaboogachiefwalkin Scooter Bivins won the biggest stringer (three catfish) in the "natural" category with a weight of 153.12 pounds. Buster Garrett won the biggest stringer (three catfish) in the "scuba" category with a weight of 136.80 pounds.
Each noodler actually has 24-hours to catch up to three flathead catfish; however, all fish must be caught within the state of Oklahoma.
