  • I dunno,I guess i'm a tough cookie. Raul i'm not a big fan. He is tight in the waist and his knees don't bend very often so he looks kind of stiff in the upperbody and stiff in the lower body b/c his up /down transtions are very stiff. He also jocks Wei Jian moves too much and lacks the explosiveness in the beginning of all his movements. :) I know I'm being critical, but I'm a tough cookie to please :). I can' think of too many international jian i can draw on. I like Jia Rui of Macau tho

  • soooooolid!!!

  • oh yhea, I just saw those videos, kovals forms are better, the only thing I hate from all the russian athletes is that they don't show any facial or body expression , they look kind of like robots , lol,,

I think koval is one of the best, however no one beats this dude

    /watch?v=fQtJZLC73FQ&fmt=18

    lol,,,,

  • Liu Hai Bo > The World.

  • Damn! Missed this thread! See to the right, Wang Rui, I think she's from henan also. Vladmir has some good stuff, but some of his early stuff just shows him with like NO body movement and very stiff, and going for 720's and always missing them, but yeah he's probably one of the best international dudes. I actually like Kovals northern weapons better. you see the ones on wushuonefamily? See ya!

  • Liu Zhi yong?? hahah I actually like the way the form was chorographed but I agree his basics are terrible, same with his weapons forms, also YXC's weapons forms are soooo boring, but he always win, I guess thats the beauty of politics,, hahaa... Dude,, An Xiao Wei Chang quan is so cool also his straightsword was amazing,,and Andrey Koval that guy is crazy, really really talented,, I also like Vladimir Krassiuk from Russia and Raul estevez (jianshu) from spain,,,

  • Dude! Long Gang has one of the best "New School" performers I've ever seen! He is so innovative in a way that YYH tried to be but never was! Actually 2003 yyh (he combo-ed a butterfly kick directly into a 720 twist split) and 2004 were really good years for YYH. 2007 changquan was not bad for him, but I thought he never really recovered from tossing his technique for "cool moves". Liu Zhi Yong, or whatever his name, is the worst. He's like a track star who learned wushu jumps... see ya! :P

  • An Xiao Wei : watch?v=-d4t3VQXno8

not my fave, but I like this guy, Di Guang Wen of Beijing: watch?v=NvuD5e74G04

He's got good changquan feeling. And my fave intenrational athletes are Daisuke of Japan for changquan and Andrey Koval of Ukraine for Nanquan. Sorry I talk so much! See ya! :)...

  • Also, if you buy 96 qualifiers from beijingwushuteam website, he is the guy in hot pink after jiang ban jun. The vids up there don't give justice to how good he really is . Even a snap kick and a side kick done in transition are so snappy and perfect. You can barely see his outside kick, and in 96 finals (if you can somehow get a copy of that), he is literally upside down when he opens up into splits on his twist. Pretty awesome! Zhang yu ping of shandong: watch?v=jGeMXDiSU-E
