hey! im struggling with my guitar, just got a el one ; ) i dont know where to start! i know some basic songs and chords, any tips? everything is so hard :S

You will do just fine with practice, I am sure of it. Anything worth doing, is worth doing poorly, until you can do it well. I can promise you, playing the guitar is worth learning to do. Stick with it, believe it and you will achieve it. Good luck, Mark

I started 3 years ago at 52 yrs, using Saturday morning as my learning time. You can get an instructor to help you or learn by letting others teach you on youtube, which this is the method I use that is most helpful

@Oysy You can find seemingly endless videos here on Youtube.The main thing,as Mark said is practice.Even if it's a half hour a day,you need the practice.And don't just jump in and try to play everything at full speed.Start at slow and work your way up.That will help the muscle memory in your hands.One tool that a lot of guitar players use is a metronome.You can either buy one at your local music store or download one online.I use one called Weird Metronome.Good luck with your guitar.

@Oysy learn anything, some general theory knowledge would

be good to start with, learn the notes on the guitar and where

they are at, then expand and start learning different licks on the

net and learn how to apply them within your playing.... if you

get a small foundation of theory to start with, it will make it a lot

easier

if need be. Look up the blues scale in all 5 positions and it will

make sense to you.

Um, very choppy and the bend that you do at the end is out of key. the first part of the video you play in the key of g minor and that sounds fine until you get to the end of the lick and play the g# on the 9th fret of the b string... g# is not in the key of g minor and sounds very dissonant... then when you start on the 9th fret with the box shape pentatonic you change keys completely to c# minor so in essence this isn't a guitar run, its the same lick in two different keys...

if u learn by ear ull never learn... the note... trust me its hard... because I tought the same thing and 8 years later i'm trying to learn by note...

it sounds nice but you really have to tell every note.. because you say you do this and this and then this.. but if u want to learn this to other people u should really slow it down more;)
