Love this version. I have this DVD. The audience's involvement in this song, as well as all the others, is exceptional. It really seems to feed PG. The tension, release, tension is phenomenal. Best performance of this song Iv'e seen.

Respect to Gabriel. He does exactly what he wants artistically

This show was amazing. Peter was sick on the scheduled date and returned to close out his tour in Oakland after a Womad Show in Golden Gate Park. All of it was amazing but this one is one of my favorites. Great staging, the complete multimedia package as only Peter knows how to consummately put it together.

an absolutely amazing song, Gabriel is a genius.
this song is about an Apache Indian who is coming of age,but first he must endure the coming of age ritual, where a Medicine Man takes the boy to the mountains, where a rattlesnake will purposefully bite him, and leaves the boy to find his way down the mountain, where he will either die or learn courage and become man.
"Medicine man lead me up through town" 2:50
"a rattle in the old mans sack" 3:48
