I love the new series, but I refuse to say the new one is better than Gen 1. I WILL say it's just as good, though, but I steered clear of Gen 3 all together.

@TreetopYodeler There's actually a lot of tension between the bronies and the people who have been collecting MLPs for years.
Bronies diss the earlier generations, calling them stupid (or hey, even gay!), which the older collectors don't appreciate. I'm as brony as can be, and I LOVE generations 1 and 3.
So yeah, while most people hate bronies because of the meme thing, a lot of collectors aren't so fond because of how quickly they deem the older generations as worthless.

Just watching this video, and everything else pertaining to G1-G3.5, all I can say is this... Thank Princess Celestia that Lauren Faust came along and made Friendship is Magic... She was the one who made an MLP series that was actually worth watching, and for that, she has my undying gratitude.
