Basic AIML Tutorial

Carolina was the making of Leo and I. Please read a bit about her below.

Carolina was started as a joke sort of to cheer my friend Leo up but I don't remember the reason why. Leo was very interested in Carolina and asked if he may too help assemble her. We set off on a mission, a mission to make Carolina the most human as possible. Currently we are in the middle of editing all the default files that Pandorabots provided. This process has helped Carolina become more human. As a side project I wanted to make Carolina more helpful with simple computer tasks. For instance, Carolina now has the ability to open new windows (thanks to me) or search the web (credits to Leo on that one) on a multitude of search engines. As of right now, Carolina knows about a lot of subjects such as Geography and Math. She even has her own memory, proven many times. For just a bunch of files, she isn't half bad (containing about 70k+ patterns now!)

Her sole purpose is to pass The Turing Test. This is a test, designed by Alan Turing, to try and trick a human into thinking that the robot is a human as well.

How can I use the "that" command? I just want to use that for the regular "knock knock joke" line, or to remember my name. And to affect the answer the previous input. Please help, there isn't any tutorials for AIML. I use gaitobot by the way.

@ConsoleGameplayGuy The that command is a way for the bot to remember what it said previously. For example category pattern TELL ME A KNOCK KNOCK JOKE /pattern template Alright, knock knock! /template /category category pattern WHOS THERE? /pattern that Alright, knock knock! /that template Dishes. /template /category category pattern DISHES WHO /pattern that Dishes /that template Dishes a knock knock joke! /template /category Hope that helps. Yeah I thought so too but last time I did a review/tutorial people complained about me not having a mic. Suppose it is better than nothing eh?

I already knew all of this that was said in the video. I read some of your video info and read

"her math level is higher than mine, she can think, she does know Leo (the other AI Programmer), she does remember your name since I and Leo made the code more advanced, she knows many famous people, she can tell jokes, she can open new tabs/windows in a web browser, she even knows the date"
