@ri394 yes. before you reach 4th rank at junior, senior, or attempt varsity, there is an npc or two, if doubles, walking around who are willing to rank like you and will ask for a practice match. its not necessary, but it gives free exp if you need it. once you reach get a rank, you cant face them at all.
