In this interview Joe explores a myriad of subjects from the United States' version of democracy, the challenges facing our future leaders through to insights into the effect of globalisation on subjects such as New Zealand's car market, constitution and privacy laws. Joe signs off with a warning that New Zealand needs to 'keep up' in this globalising world.

About Joseph Coates:
Joe Coates is a world-renowned thinker, writer, and speaker on the future. The founder of Coates & Jarratt, Inc. a futures research organisation, Joe is now a consulting futurist. A pioneer in future studies, Joe has consulted with 45 of the Fortune 500 companies, as well as numerous smaller firms, government, and public interest groups. Joe is an active member of the World Future Society, presents and speaks worldwide, and has written hundreds of articles, papers and columns.
In 2007, Joe published A New Bill of Rights for Americans, in which he argues that there is a need to rethink the U.S constitution. Another of Joe's notable publications is 2025: Scenarios of U.S. and Global Society Reshaped by Science and Technology (Oakhill, 1997).

  • The point about having to adjust to dialects is very well made, I've failed to learn german and french ...hindi may be more worthwhile.
